Emily Coe Acker
Emily Coe Acker is the 19-year-old daughter of Eric and Brenda Acker of Mooresville. She will be a second-year pre- Pharmacy student at Purdue University. She is a member of Sigma Delta Tau Sorority, Purdue Collegiate 4-H, and Kappa Epsilon professional-pharmacy fraternity. Emily was a 10-year 4-H member, 2009 supreme showman, 3-year 4-H ambassador, member of 2009 State Junior Leader council, and the Morgan County Sheep Breeders Association. She enjoys attending Purdue athletic events, especially basketball. Her sponsor is Carpet Country of Greenwood.
Elon Marie Baker
Elon Marie Baker is the 17-year-old daughter of Mike and Cindy Baker of Mooresville and is a graduate of Monrovia High school. She will be attending Indiana/Purdue University Indianapolis in the fall, studying to be an orthodontist. Elon is a 10-year 4-H member, a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and has a family-owned rodeo barn. Her sponsor is the Trailblazers 4-H Horse and Pony Club.
Alexandria Leigh Blunk
Alexandria Leigh Blunk is the 20-year-old daughter of Dorinda Wigley and Ted Blunk of Martinsville and attends Ivy Tech Community College majoring in criminal justice. Alexandria is an accomplished gymnast and successful gymnastics coach. She has helped with Special Olympics and the National Guard Family Readiness Group, competed twice at the Indiana State Fair talent contest and in 1990 won the Morgan County Fair baby contest for her age group. Her sponsor is Moose Lodge # 1127.
Chelsea Jo Botkin
Chelsea Jo Botkin is the 18-year-old daughter of Kirk and Julie Botkin of Martinsville and graduated 20th in her class from Martinsville High School. While in school her activities included Future Farmers of America and Spanish Club. A 9-year 4-H member, Chelsea has been active in the Morgan Wranglers Horse and Pony Club and is a member of The Eastview Christian Church youth group and praise team. Chelsea loves horseback riding, horse breeding, training and gives lessons to local children. Her sponsor is Tri Kappa sorority.
Suzanne Raye Cox
Suzanne Raye Cox is the 18-year-old daughter of Lynne and John Cox of Martinsville and will be attending Marian College in the fall majoring in nursing with an emphasis on cancer research and a minor in music. She received the John Phillip Sousa Award, and scholarships from First United Methodist church, the American Legion, Kappa Kappa Sigma and the Masonic Lodge. Suzanne was past honor queen of Job's Daughters and was Demolay princess. She enjoys singing, camping, hiking, horseback riding and volunteering at the Morgan County Humane Society. Her sponsor is Epsilon Chapter of Kappa Kappa Sigma.
Audra Josephine Gregory
Audra Josephine Gregory is the 16-year-old daughter of Rodney and Julie Gregory of Martinsville and will be a junior at Martinsville High School this fall. She is vice president of Martinsville FFA, an FFA livestock judging team member and serves as a peer tutor at the high school. An 8-year 4-H member, she serves as president of the Friendly Farmers 4-H club and is a member of the 4-H Junior Leaders. She is a junior member of the following associations: angus, polled hereford, shorthorn, chimaine, maine and holstein. In 2008 she was senior round robin champion. Her sponsor is Brookside Farms.
Rachel Lynn Hastings
Rachel Lynn Hastings is the 17-year-old daughter of Jim and Tracy Hastings of Mooresville and will be a senior at Mooresville High School this fall. This year Rachel had the honor of being inducted into the Mooresville High School National Honor Society, plus she is very active in several school activities, including Spanish Club, Key Club, and Best Buddies. Rachel is a 9-year 4-H member of the Morgannaires 4-H Club and a 5-year Morgan County Junior Leader member. She is a member of the elite MHS show choir Finesse, on the MHS tennis team and enjoys reading and traveling with her family. Her sponsor is B&R Equipment.
Lacey Ann Hunter
Lacey Ann Hunter is the 18-year-old daughter of Beth and Michael hunter of Martinsville and will be a senior at Martinsville High School this fall. She is involved in peer tutoring work and has been a freshman mentor four years. Lacey is a 6-year 4-H member with projects in fine arts, crafts, photography and cattle. She has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity for eight years. Lacey loves the outdoors, riding motorcycles for charity events with her dad and horseback riding. Her sponsor is the All-American Kids 4-H club.
Kelsey Jo Kluesner
Kelsey Jo Kluesner is the 16-year-old daughter of Lynne and Yony Kluesner of Martinsville and will be a junior at Martinsville High School this fall. Kelsey is on the honor roll with a 3.9 grade average and math is her favorite subject. She has earned five varsity letters in three sports at Martinsville High School, two from cross country, two from swimming and one from track. Kelsey is a member of FFA, Morgan County 4-H Junior Leaders, the Busy Beetles 4-H club, and 4-H ambassadors. Her sponsor is Club Mart swim club.
Samantha Brooke Messmer
Samantha Brooke Messmer is the 18-year-old daughter of April and Dean Messmer of Martinsville and will be a senior at Martinsville High School this fall. She is a 3-year member and president of FFA and 3-year peer mentor. Samantha is a 9-year member of the Busy Beetles 4-H club and president; 6-year member of the Morgan County 4-H livestock judging team. She is a 2010 Indiana Dairy Ambassador, member of the American Jr. Maine Anjou association, the American Junior Jersey Cattle Club, the American Jr. Shorthorn Association, and the American Painted Horse Association. She is a member of the First Baptist Church in Martinsville. Her sponsor is Clampeechen Farm.
Samantha Alyson Murphy
Samantha Alyson Murphy is the 16-year-old daughter of Charles and Rebecca Murphy of Martinsville and will be a senior at Martinsville High School in the fall. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Business Professionals of America national qualifier, German club president, advanced chorus section leader, and color guard captain. Samantha likes cooking, reading, calculus, singing and dancing. Her plans are to attend Indiana University. Her sponsor is DECA of Martinsville High School.
Ella Rae Paul
Ella Rae Paul is the 17-year-old daughter of Tom Paul and Sarah Wood of Martinsville and will be a senior at Martinsville High School this fall. She is a member of the National Honor Society, the Peers Project, Interact Club, Spanish Club, freshman mentor and is editor of the Artesian Herald. Ella is co-captain of the MHS swim team and has won the mental attitude award two years in a row. She is a member of Club Mart swim club and is a lifeguard. In her free time she enjoys sewing, spending time with friends and watching movies. Her sponsor is the Reporter-Times.
Danielle Jo Phillips
Danielle Jo Phillips is the 16-year-old daughter of Dan and Kathie Phillips of Martinsville and will be a junior at Mooresville High School this fall. She is a member of the Mooresville show choirs and enjoys singing and acting. Danielle volunteers 4 days a week at St. Francis Hospital and Meadow Lakes nursing home in Mooresville. She has written a book to hopefully soon be published and dreams to have a family one day and become a successful heart surgeon. Her sponsor is Midwest Construction Group.
Johnna Lea Saucerman
Johnna Lea Saucerman is the 17-year-old daughter of John and Carrie Saucerman of Mooresville and will be a senior at Monrovia High School this fall. She has been a 9-year A&A Township 4-H club and Morgan County swine member. A member of Morgan County Dreamers and Voice, she teaches preschool dance classes, is a member of Indiana Infinity senior cheer squad, and a senior dance team member at X-treme Dance Academy. Johnna enjoys watching movies, going to sporting events, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Her role models are her mother and grandparents, with John Wayne as her hero. Brianda Michelle Towell
Brianda Michelle Towell is the 20-year-old daughter of Michael and Alicia Towell of Martinsville and a student at Ivy Tech State College, while conferring with Purdue staff to complete her goals of becoming an extension educator and skilled in livestock management. Brianda is involved in YMCA coaching, church activities such as vacation bible school, plays and other community activities. She participates in 4-H and agriculture programs such as Farmer's Day, Hoosier Plow Kids 4-H club, livestock weigh-ins, livestock shows at local, state and national levels. Crystalyn Dawn Woods
Crystalyn Dawn Woods is the 17-year-old daughter of Eric and Christy Woods of Martinsville and will be a junior at Martinsville High School this the fall. As an 8-year independent 4-H member she has been a member of Junior Leaders serving as treasurer, a representative to 4-H Council and Fair Board and a 4-H swine exhibitor. She is a member of FFA and Aspire clubs of Martinsville High School. Crystalyn enjoys skeet-shooting, paintballing, and spending time with her friends.
