Messmer is the daughter of Dean and April Messmer, a graduate of Martinsville High School and a member of the Busy Beetles 4-H club.
Projects she has completed include Foods, Swine, Consumer Clothing, Food Preservation, Sewing, Gardening, Dairy, Corn, Beef and Soybeans. Messmer's awards include Round Robin Showman, John Gilbert Award, Farm Bureau Tenure Award, State Fair Sweepstakes, Reserve Champion Shorthorn Showman and many Champions.
Her favorite 4-H activities are being on the Morgan County 4-H Livestock Judging Team, going to Shakamak 4-H Camp, helping with 4-H mini camps and Share the Fun.
What she liked most about her 4-H experience is fair preparation, showing livestock, helping to prepare the 4-H building for the fair, catching up with old friends and making new friends.
The person who has most influenced Messmer throughout her 4-H career is her grandmother, Rosanna Messmer.
She will be attending Ivy Tech this fall. She would like to return to 4-H to help with the Busy Beetles 4-H club and also to help with cattle.
